As an avid fan of outdoor recreational sports, Danica Patrick is a major consumer of various types of outdoor gear, including mountain bike parts, rock-climbing equipment and everything in between.

Being an engineer with such hobbies, it's hard to ignore the design and functionality aspects of the parts being purchased, and upon examining them further she discovered that the market's strategy for adapting such products for consumption for women was entirely out of touch with what needed to be done to make them effective, making these versions of the products practically useless for the consumers being targeted.

Join PADT's Manufacturing Engineer Danica Patrick February 22nd, from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm MST for a tour of PADT's Tempe facilities, as well as an in-depth look at the crucial role women play in engineering, as she walks through the process of reverse engineering, simulating, and manufacturing outdoor goods that actually meet the needs of women.
