Contract Medical Device Development Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineer
We are looking for proven problem solvers that are available for contract work on medical device development programs.
Candidates must have a BS or better in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related major.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience that includes medical devices (especially orthopedic, cardiovascular, or endoscopic devices). They are capable of designing, prototyping, testing, and debugging complex mechanical and electromechanical systems. They are familiar with product development within the FDA Design Control regulations.
FEA/CFD Analysis and/or Training & Support Engineer

Sales & Marketing Associate
PADT is seeking an outgoing self-starter with a sense of humor who likes variety in their workday, interacting with people, and is detail oriented. The company’s growing Computer Aided Engineer Sales, Support & Services team needs and associate to assist the sales, admin and marketing teams in increasing business and making interactions with our customers more efficient. This position is a combination of three positions: 1) coordinating and conducting marketing efforts for the CAE group, 2) conducting inside sales and lead processing tasks, and 3) handling the sales processing and administrative tasks for one or more of the product lines that PADT resells.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and have some experience in sales, marketing and business administration tasks. They must have an outgoing personality and be able to take their job very seriously, but not themselves. Flexibility and the ability to multi-task are a must in that this position fills three very different roles within the department. Another requirement is the ability to conduct significant cold calls to find or follow sales leads. Having some artistic capabilities as far as graphic arts and writing would be a plus.
This department within PADT sells, supports, and provides services with high end computer simulation software and 3D prototyping hardware. The team consists of engineers, salespeople and business operations people who need an associate that will assist them in being more efficient and more productive.
Typical tasks for this position would be:

Sub Contract Product Development Engineer
PADT, the Southwest’s leading provider of mechanical simulation, product development and rapid manufacturing services, is seeing a marked increase in product development projects and has a immediate but short term need for experienced design engineers. The work can vary from alternative energy projects to medical devices to semiconductor equipment and involve CAD, testing, vendor coordination or assembly. PADT’s Product Development Department works as a flexible team where each member is expected to be self directed, proactive and very focused on meeting the customer’s requirements. Applicants should be able to work without significant oversight, interact with vendors, work with others and be flexible enough to move between very different projects.
Contract employees will work at PADT’s facility at the ASU Research Park in Tempe, AZ . PADT will provide all needed equipment and software. The initial contract will be for 2-4 months with additional time if the relationship works and more work is available. This is a contract position with: hourly wage, no minimum number of hours per week, no overtime rate, no benefits.

Receptionist
Tempe engineering company is seeking an intelligent, independent worker with great people skills and outgoing personality to be our receptionist.
Fairly typical reception job responsibilities include answering phones, greeting customers and vendors in the lobby, helping with mailing, shipping, travel arrangements and filing. It also includes some administrative tasks involving ordering of supplies and shipping them as well as data entry and maintaining some basic spreadsheets. Office environment is friendly, flexible but very hard working with a staff that is over 80% engineers. Hours are 8-5 with an hour for lunch and breaks.
The most important requirement for this job is being friendly and positive with PADT’s customers, employees and vendors both over the phone and in person. a variety of industries. Duties will include:
- Support production with assembly, acceptance
testing, and quality testing of PADT developed rotating
equipment.
- Assembly, debug, and testing of development
pumps, blowers, and various custom rotating equipment.
- Assembly and Development testing of motor controllers
- Assembly, debug, and testing of semiconductor/vacuum
systems, medical systems – and more.
- Design and assembly of test rigs and ancillary
test components
- Programming of data acquisition systems
- Data reduction, spreadsheet evaluations, and
report writing
Requirements:
Applicant should
have 5-10 years of technician experience with assembly
and testing of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical
