Discover the advantages of on-demand Manufacturing with Carbon – Interview pt. 1

The long-term promise of 3D Printing has always been using the technology to replace traditional manufacturing as a way to make production parts.

Carbon is turning the 3D printing world upside down by introducing real production capabilities with their systems, and now that PADT has joined Carbon’s Production Partner Program, on-demand manufacturing using 3D Printing is now a reality in the Southwestern US.

Check out part one of our three part interview series with Carbon’s Production Engineer, Johnathon Wright and PADT’s Additive Manufacturing Solutions Account Manager Renee Palacios, as they answer some of the most frequently asked questions about Carbon’s manufacturing capabilities, and explore what benefits PADT can provide as a Carbon Production Partner.

Keep an eye our for part 2, coming soon.

You can also view a recording of our recent webinar covering Carbon here: https://www.brighttalk.com/webcast/15747/293721

Composites Weekly: 3D Printing Advancements in Aerospace, Medical and Automotive – Interview

composites-weekly-logo-1PADT was recently asked to do an interview with Composites Weekly  to talk about what is new in the world of Additive Manufacturing.  Host Jonathan Taylor asked some great questions and we covered a lot of important advances and what to look for in the near future.   Listen here.

Money Radio: Business for Breakfast Interviews PADT’s Eric Miller

money_radioKen Morgan and Mark Asher of Money Radio interviewed PADT’s Eric Miller to learn more about what we do here and how “We Make Innovation Work” as part of the Business Leader Spotlight.

The Record Reporter: Simulation Solutions

record-reporter-logoPADT’s Ward Rand and Eric Miller were interviewed recently by Chris Gilfallan of  “The Record Reporter” about what PADT does and how it impacts the local product development and intellectual property community. It ended up being a great overview and is aimed at helping the Arizona legal profession understand a bit more about what we do.   If you have a subscription you can read the article here.

Desktop Engineering: Your Optimization Software Respectfully Suggests a Revision

DE_Logo109x100When Desktop Engineering needed a subject matter expert on Topological Optimization and its use to drive product development, they called on PADT’s Manoj Mahendran.  The article “Your Optimization Software Respectfully Suggests a Revision” gives a great overview of how designs can be driven by the use of Topological Optimization. They also mention a few of the more common tools, and with Manoj’s help, discuss the importance of 3D Printing to the process. An important take away is how these tools can be used to suggest design changes to the designer.

PADT Talks about 3D Printing on Channel 8’s Arizona Horizon

PADT-Horizon-PBS-PicOur latest journey into mass media was a real pleasure.  We were invited to come on to the local Phoenix PBS station to talk about 3D Printing.  The team of students from the Walter Cronkite School of Mass Communications at ASU that do most of the behind the scenes work were great. The host and producer were true professionals who asked some of the best questions we have ever been asked on this topic.

Eric’s interview is the second half.

Those of you who know 3D Printing know that they showed a CNC mill instead of one of our 3D printers.  We gave them a bunch of background video to use (from another interview) and they kind of picked the wrong one. But hey, Bob and Luis got on TV!  And all that really matters is that they spelled our name right.

A great opportunity and we look forward to evangelizing the promise of additive manufacturing in the future. You can learn more about the whole world of 3D Printing on our website by starting on our prototyping support page.
