The PADT Seminar Series Presents:

ANSYS 6.1
&
Meshing Refresher

With the release of version 6.1, ANSYS, Inc. continues to grow its foundation ANSYS product by adding new capabilities while enhancing user productivity. PADT is holding a free seminar to introduce the new and exciting additions to the software. If you are an existing user or someone who is interested in using ANSYS, this discussion would be perfect for you.

In addition, many attendees of past Seminars have asked that we present a refresher on various Meshing Techniques found in the ANSYS family of products. We will be spending part of this seminar going over the different tools available to users for creating surface, brick, and tetrahedral meshes.

New Features in ANSYS 6.1:
  • New Graphical User Interface
  • Cyclic Symmetry Automation
  • Gasket Simulation Elements
  • Stronger ANSYS-ADAMS Interface
  • New Cast Iron Material Model
  • Greater Viscoelasticity Capabilities
  • Improvements to Meshing Algorithm
  • New Contact Analysis Interface
  • Generalized Plane Strain
  • Strong Fluid-Solid Interaction Analysis
  • Piezoelectric-Circuit Analysis Capabilities
  • New Electromechanical Transducer
  • Enhanced Electromagnetics
  • More ANSYS/LS-DYNA Material Models
  • Local Coords in ANSYS/LS-DYNA
