The PADT Seminar Series Presents:

ANSYS 7.0 New Product Update

The release of ANSYS 7.0 is one of the most significant in recent product history. This version will contain the usual assortment of incremental enhancements to pre-processing, materials, elements, solvers, and post-processing. It will also mark the introduction of the new Workbench Environment (WBE) interface for ANSYS.

WBE is a new more modern method for pre- and post-processing your ANSYS models. It is still in its beginning stages, so for now it will remain just an option for users. But as it grows and matures over the coming years, it will become more dominant. In this seminar, we will focus on what WBE can and can’t do, and we will spend some time exploring its biggest strength: bi-directional associativety with CAD.

In addition, we will cover the wealth of new enhancements to the rest of the ANSYS product. These will include:

  • New Installation Issues
  • Electrical Contact
  • Point/Edge-to-Surface Contact
  • Contact Robustness
  • Rigid Links
  • Cyclic Symmetry Enhancements
  • Layered Thermal Shell
  • Complex Surface Loading
  • More Viscoelasticity
  • Multiple Omegas
  • Electrostatic-Structural Coupling
  • Fluid Solid Interaction
  • CIF Import
  • S-Parameters
  • Adaptive Meshing
  • CFD Enhancements
  • ALE
  • ANSYS/LSDYNA Improvements
  • Non-Linear Diagnostics
  • Solver Improvements
  • CATIA V5 Support

As with all PADT Seminar Series events, this is a free presentation open to anyone who uses ANSYS or is interested in ANSYS. The discussions are technical and focus on how users can be more productive with ANSYS products.
