The PADT Seminar Series Presents:

Workbench

The developers at ANSYS, Inc. have been hard at work on the next generation of Finite Element Simulation Tools. With Release 7.0 and the ANSYS Workbench Environment as a pre- and post-processor for standard ANSYS, the bulk of the ANSYS user community now has access to some of this powerful and productive technology. Over time, more and more functionality will be available within tools developed under the Workbench, and users can even see some significant productivity advantages now. In this seminar, PADT will explain why existing users will not lose their investment in processes that are based on the current ANSYS product line.

This seminar will provide a technical overview on:

  • What is the Workbench Initiative, and what is Workbench technology
  • ANSYS, Inc.'s transition plan
  • An overview of existing and near-term Workbench-based tools
  • The Workbench project environment
  • An in-depth demonstration of the ANSYS Workbench Environment
    • Focus on associative geometry and using APDL
  • Tips on how to leverage this new technology
  • Using your existing technology with Workbench products

This seminar will be less lecture, and more examples and discussions. Anyone who currently uses ANSYS or plans on using it in the future should attend this gathering. It should prove helpful in making informed decisions on when and how this technology can make them more productive.
