The PADT Seminar Series Presents:

ANSYS 8.0 Overview

The 8.0 release of the ANSYS product family is a significant step forward in almost every level of analysis that these programs support. A significant portion of this release focuses on Multiphysics improvements, as well as advancing other forms of high-end analysis, including contact, non-linear materials, cyclic-symmetry, and advanced dynamics. A few of the topics for this seminar will be:

  • New Multiphysics solver technology
  • CMS: Component Mode Synthesis
  • Output of Harwell-Boeing Format
  • Non-Cyclic Loading on Cyclic Symmetric Parts
  • Result Calcs on an Arbitrary Plane/Sphere Cross Section
  • FE Modeler added to Workbench
  • Surface-to-Solid Contact in Workbench
  • Pretension Bolt Loading in Workbench
  • Particle tracing for Electrostatic and Magnetic Fields
  • PiezoResistive Elements (model strain gages and such)
  • Full LaGrange contact (0 penetration)
  • More material curve fitting
  • Shape memory allow support
  • MPC184 as Joints
  • Thin Film Fluid Elements
  • 4-D and 5-D table Arrays
  • Hex dominant mesher in the Workbench
  • Lots more contact control in the Workbench

Anyone and everyone using ANSYS should attend this seminar. There is something in this release for everyone and many of the enhancements will make using ANSYS, Inc. products easier and more powerful.
