— PADT Seminar Series Presents —
Probabilistics and Optimization
with the New Workbench Tools

Design for Six-Sigma and other statistical product development methods are becoming a necessity in today’s business climate. The Workbench based products developed by ANSYS Inc. deliver a toolset that allows users to quickly conduct probablistic evaluations of their mechanical systems in a timely and useful manner. With the addition of the CADOE SeriesXpansion technology, these tools offer a way to use statistical methods early in the design process.

This seminar will provide a technical overview of the methods available in ANSYS as well as information on how to effectively use it on real world problems. The discussion will cover:

  • CAD-Analysis associativety
  • Driving geometric parameters from the Workbench
  • Simple parametric and “what if” studies
  • Using APDL for probalistics in the Workbench
  • Design of Experiments
  • Optimization
  • Using the SeriesXpansion Technology
  • Lessons Learned
  • Future Plans

Managers and Engineers interested in using simulation to understand how geometry, load, material and other parameters effect performance should attend.
