Over a year ago ANSYS, Inc. purchased
one of the leading CFD packages on the market: CFX. Our engineers have
been very successfully using this tool for over a year now and
have found it to be powerful, robust, flexible, and fast. In fact, the
more we use it, the more pleased we are with its ability to solve real
world problems. We have successfully used CFX to solve a variety of problems,
from computer case cooling to vapor chamber characterization to aerospace
heat transfer.
In our Seminar for September, PADT’s CFD analysts will
be presenting a technical overview of CFX. We will focus on the following
topics:
What is CFX
- Technical advantages of CFX
- Example solutions
- Demonstration of typical problem setup, solution, and
post-processing
- Using CFX with ANSYS for fluid-solid interaction problems
- Heat transfer
with CFX
- Distributed solving
- Future integration of ANSYS and CFX, as well as
CFX in the Workbench
- Meshing options for CFX
- Lessons learned by PADT for successful CFX
usage
Anyone who does fluid flow analysis, or who is interested in doing this
type of analysis, should attend this practical seminar. Our in house
expert, Dr. Luis Rosales, will be available during and after the seminar
to answer your specific application questions.
