| 18x Elements | ||||||||
NOTE: Due to lack of interest, this seminar has been cancelled. Over the past few years, ANSYS has made significant improvements in its nonlinear capabilities. This initiative includes the creation of the 18x elements, which have become the elements of choice for modeling material nonlinearities such as plasticity, creep, hyperelasticity, viscoelasticity, and viscoplasticity. Rather than using multiple element types to model these phenomena, the 18x elements employ numerous formulations for each type via element options. Besides allowing the user to model complex nonlinear material behavior, these options provide an extensive library of constitutive laws that can be used to improve convergence while overcoming numerical errors such as locking. 18x shell and beam elements also provide options for section modeling to improve accuracy and ease of use. Topics will include:
As usual, the talk with be technical and will be oriented towards the experienced analyst and their management. The seminar will provide numerous examples to illustrate the above topics. |
