— PADT Seminar Series Presents —
ANSYS 9.0 Technical Update

With the introduction of Release 9.0 of the ANSYS product suite, ANSYS, Inc. is continuing their recent history of adding significant new features to their core solver and element technology while expanding the capabilities of their new pre/post processor solutions. The web-based version of this seminar that many attended gave users a great insight into the vision of the ANSYS, Inc. development team and management. However, it was a little light on technical content.

So, at PADT we are rolling up our sleeves and presenting a technical update seminar on Release 9.0. This will be for existing, new, and want to be new users who need to understand how the new capabilities can be used to allow them to do better simulation.

We will go over all the new features, but some of the highlights are:

  • Mesh independent spot welds
  • MPC no separation contact
  • Manual mesh rezoning for large deflection (distortion) analysis
  • Thick shell element
  • Follower Loads
  • Acceleration by Component
  • Conductance Matrix Extraction
  • Accurate Electromagnetic Force and Torque Extraction
  • Symmetry in Thermal Radiation
  • Cylinders for Post-Processing Surfaces
  • Better Coordinate System Support for Equation Loads
  • EMAG in Workbench
  • Multiple Load Steps in Workbench
  • A Ton of Usability Enhancements to Workbench
