— PADT Seminar Series Presents —

The long awaited release of ANSYS 11.0 is finally here. Chalk full of features, this release is one of the most significant in years, delivering some long requested functionality. In this seminar we will present a high level overview of what is new, taking some time to look in depth at features that we feel users will get the most value out of. As we have done in the past, we will not only present what has changed, but give our opinion and observations from a user’s perspective.

Anyone who uses ANSYS or who is thinking about using the product should attend. We will cover all changes to ANSYS Professional through Mechanical, the Workbench interface and then hit the top changes in CFX, AUTODYN and the Harvard Thermal tools. Here is a very short list of the key changes:

    • In ANSYS:
      • Rigid – Flexible Multibody Dynamics
      • Debonding of Bonded Contacts
      • Non-linear Geometry Stabilization
      • New Joint Elements
      • Enhancements to Rotordynamics
      • NLGEOM and Transient Dynamic Component Mode Synthesis (CMS)
      • Drucker-Prager and Gurson’s Material Models
      • 2D and 3D J-Integral Calculations
      • PCG Lanczos Mode Extraction Method
    • In Workbench:
      • Major Meshing Enhancements
      • Robust Remote Solve Capability
      • Greatly Enhanced Parameter Manager
      • Boolean in DesignModeler
      • Bi-Directional CATIA V5 Support
      • Results from ANSYS RST File
      • Greater Loading Flexibility
      • Create Geometry from Mesh
      • Multilinear Material Properties

There is a lot more to talk about, and as always we invite attendees to participate by giving their input. We have plenty of space at our Tempe office and will have a limited number of WebEx sessions available.
