PolyJet Technology

PolyJet technology is a unique combination of UV curable resins that have been used with SLA machines for years, with inkjet printing technology.  This gives the accuracy of inkjet printing with the strength and material selection of UV curable polymers - resulting in strong, accurate parts with quality surface finishes and user variable material properties. On top of that the process is fast, creating parts with a maximum vertical growth rate of 1/2 inch per hour with 0.0012” layers.

The Connex 500 gives PADT several advantages over other Polyjet systems.  To start with, the Connex 500 allows us to prototype flexible elastomeric parts in a variety of durometers from Shore 25A to 95A.  From there, an overmolded geometry can be created as a single component directly in the machine by using the dual material capability keeping a rigid substrate with a flexible overmold.  It even allows us to create numerous  parts in a variety of material options within a single machine run.
