GENESIS: Leading Edge Optimization

GENESISĀ is a fully integrated finite element analysis and design optimization software package, written by leading experts in structural optimization. The analysis of components is based on the finite element method for static, normal modes, frequency analysis, random response analysis, heat transfer, and system buckling calculations.

The shape of components is determined by the software based on the advanced approximation concepts approach to find an optimum design efficiently and reliably. Several approaches are available to users including: shape, sizing, topography, topometry and topology.

GTAM: GENESIS Topology for ANSYS Mechanical

VR&D has created an Extension for ANSYS Mechanical that delivers the power of GENESIS within the interface that users already know - delivering world class topological optimization without the need to learn a new tool. The extension allows users to setup, run, and post-processes topological optimization problems form with ANSYS Mechanical.
