Silicone Rubber Mold / Urethane Casting

Rubber Molds Rubber molding is a fast and affordable method of creating multiple plastic parts from a single pattern. PADT’s modeling staff utilizes in-house model making and rapid prototyping technologies to create high quality plastic parts using a variety of techniques. The basic process is as follows:

  1. Obtain a pattern
  2. Prepare the pattern
  3. Build the mold box
  4. Place the pattern in the mold box and pour in the first half of the rubber
  5. Pour in the second half of the rubber
  6. Split the mold
  7. Pour the parts

Ready to Pour PADT can create up to several hundred copies using this method. The finished parts can be painted and textured as required by the customer. Many PADT customers use this service to create marketing and show mockups of their new products.
