Course Description

Course 652

CFX Multiphase Flows
You should attend this course if you have a need to analyze multiphase flows (more than one fluid) with ANSYS CFX. You should have a B.S. in engineering or equivalent engineering experience and should have already attended 604 - Introduction to CFX or have prior CFX experience. After completing this two-day course you will be able to:
  • Understand the two fundamental approaches, Eulerian-Eulerian and Eulerian-Lagrangian
  • Handle effects such as buoyancy, droplets, and bubbles
  • Incorporate interphase heat transfer
  • Perform free surface simulations
  • Track particles within the simulation
  • Analyze fluidized beds
  • Handle phase change including boiling, condensation, and cavitation
  • Incorporate multiple species
