Combining Ansys Mechanical *.RST or *.RTH after a DMP Run Crash

We have all been there: Ansys Mechanical has been solving a complex model for days, only to unexpectedly crash or fail with an error message. Upon checking the _ProjectScratch folder, you find a collection of fragmented files like file0.rst and file1.rst, but no combined file.rst result file.
