After an incredible career helping customers turn ideas into reality, our colleague and friend, Pam Waterman, is beginning a well-earned retirement.
For many of our customers, Pam wasn’t just an Application Engineer—she was the person who helped transform uncertainty into confidence. Whether someone was purchasing their first 3D printer, struggling with GrabCAD features, or tackling an especially challenging materials application, Pam approached every conversation with patience, curiosity, and a genuine desire to help.
Throughout her career at PADT, Pam became a trusted technical resource in the world of additive manufacturing. Her deep knowledge of 3D printing Stratasys technologies, materials, and applications helped countless engineers, designers, manufacturers, researchers, and educators solve problems that once seemed impossible. More importantly, she never lost sight of the people behind those projects.
One of Pam’s greatest strengths has always been her ability to listen first. Rather than simply recommending a machine or material, she took the time to understand each customer’s goals, challenges, and constraints. That thoughtful approach allowed her to develop solutions that delivered real results—and earned lasting relationships along the way. Everyone in the Stratasys ecosystem knows Pam and has had a terrific experience over the years.
As additive manufacturing has moved from a niche prototyping tool into a critical manufacturing technology, Pam evolved alongside it. She embraced new technologies, continually expanded her expertise, and remained committed to helping customers stay at the forefront of innovation. From design optimization and material selection to production workflows and troubleshooting, she became an invaluable partner for organizations across a wide range of industries.
Beyond her technical expertise, Pam’s positive attitude and willingness to help made her an incredible teammate. She was always generous with her knowledge, quick to mentor others, and eager to celebrate the successes of both customers and colleagues. Her professionalism, humility, and genuine kindness left an impact that extends far beyond the projects she supported.
While we’ll certainly miss having Pam on our team, we’re excited for the adventures that retirement will bring her. After years of helping others build the future, it’s finally time for her to focus on the things she enjoys most with family and friends.
With big shoes to fill, PADT is grateful that Pam was able to pass along some of her knowledge to our new Application Engineer, Ava English.
