A powder bed fusion additive manufacturing process where a base powder material and a gas are heated with the scanning laser to cause a chemical reaction that creates the fused ceramic material directly, rather than fusing an existing ceramic powder. Once a layer is completed, the build plate lowers and a new layer of powder is deposited on top, and the process repeats.

Abbreviated as SLRS.
