How does it work?

Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) forms fully functional metal components from CAD models by using a precise, high-wattage laser to micro-weld powdered metals and alloys.

Benefits

Complex geometries with lattice structures and internal passages
High resolution and fine feature details
Fully dense metal parts
Wide range of materials
Good mechanical properties

Applications

Production Parts
Manufacture custom or one-off parts with LMPBF or replace low-volume castings with a 3D metal part.
Functional Prototypes
Parts are fit for full-usage scenarios due to the process characteristic hardness and durability.
Thermal Control Systems
Produce previously unmanufacturable designs, such as heat exchangers and thermal control systems.
