The true power behind the mechanical solver in the ANSYS product family is the ANSYS Parametric Design Language, or APDL. Anyone interested in doing advanced simulation in ANSYS Mechanical or ANSYS Mechanical APDL needs to know the APDL language and PADT’s APDL Guide is the perfect place to start.
When APDL was the primary method of doing simulation with the ANSYS product, PADT developed a course that taught everything users needed to know about APDL. As the day-to-day usage of the language decreased, we converted the course into a guide, presented in printed book form.
The new second edition incorporates updates, corrections, and two new chapters on APDL Math and using APDL with ANSYS Mechanical.
The book can be purchased on Amazon here: Introduction to the ANSYS Parametric Design Language (APDL) – Second Edition as both a Kindle eBook and a Paperback.
