Account Manager: Ansys Simulation Software


Location: California, Utah or Colorado


Are you ready for a challenge? PADT is currently seeking an Account Manager for the sale of ANSYS software. The Account Manager is responsible for all ANSYS software sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory or set of accounts, and is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth and account penetration. Products and services are sold directly to end users primarily via face-to-face contact by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

  • Perform all sales activities for new and renewed business in an assigned geographic area
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in order to generate new business for the organization
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers, meet with them at PADT or, speak with them by phone to solicit sales
  • Maintain a regular schedule of contact with customers to ensure satisfaction via phone or on-site visits
  • Achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives
  • Research and compile lists of prospective customers through sales leads, internet searches, periodicals, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, and other sources
  • Remain knowledgeable and abreast of company’s new, and existing products & services to facilitate sales
  • Create and conduct sales presentations matching PADT’s products/services with customer needs
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
  • Create and maintain account plans for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities
  • Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting and engineering services groups
  • Maintain sales records and prepare sales reports as required
  • Provide accurate forecasts for new sales and renewal revenues
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions; schedule training and seminars to enhance new business opportunities
  • Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
  • Alert clients to new or improved products/services
  • Develop and maintain positive win-win relationships with clients

Application and Support Engineer


Location: Southern Califonia


Are you ready for a challenge? PADT is currently seeking an Application and Support Engineer for its Torrance, CA office. The Application and Support Engineer provides technical expertise to support the ANSYS sales team through strategic pre-sales and technical scoping activities utilizing; proven domain expertise, problem solving and communication skills, eagerness to learn , and the ability to demonstrate and present to customers by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

  • Support ANSYS sales team by acting as the technical resource throughout the sales process
  • Provide support and mentoring on ANSYS products to customers.
  • Travel with PADT’s sales team to prospects and customers, using sales knowledge and technical skills to move sales opportunities to the next level.
  • Identify potential customers and help match PADT’s and ANSYS’ solution to customer’s needs
  • Define customer requirement specifications.
  • Create and present technical product demonstrations to customers and prospects.
  • Perform benchmarking with ANSYS tools and collect various performance and accuracy metrics
  • Educate colleagues on areas of expertise and participate in training to grow into other expertise areas
  • Assist in the development and generation of formal sales proposals to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Coordinate and deliver sales collateral, presentation project plans, process flow, provision specifications, and service level definitions.
  • Present PADT’s expertise and capabilities to prospects and customers and help to grow relationships
  • Create detailed implementation plans inclusive of sales strategy by addressing schemes, service level agreements, and network validation and testing procedures.
  • Create and maintain sales case studies for all non-standard sales opportunities.
  • Create training material and conduct training classes as needed.
  • Develop technical marketing material including tutorials, blog postings, and videos

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum of two years professional experience with commercial FEA, CFD or Electromagnetic analysis tools such as ANSYS, HFSS, STAR-CCM, CST, etc.
  • Expertise with at least one ANSYS Simulation software product required.
  • Strong theoretical understanding of mechanical structures, dynamics, electromagnetics, fluid mechanics and engineering math.
  • Working knowledge of Word Processing; Spreadsheet and presentation software as well as Contact Management systems.
  • Ability to travel by air
  • Possess a valid vehicle drivers’ license.
  • English language proficiency to include excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Must be a resident of the state of California, preferably Los Angeles county
  • Relevant industry or market experience a plus
