Available Positions

Electrical Engineer, High-Frequency Simulation: RF/Antenna


Location: Tempe, AZ


PADT is seeking a full-time Masters-level Electrical/Electronic Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to work from our Tempe office. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree and strong credentials will also be considered. Incumbents must have a passion for software simulation of advanced technology as well as a desire to work in a creative engineering environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful applicants will work on modeling of a large variety of electromagnetic systems and components. Primary tasks will be working directly with potential and existing customers including on-site presentations, benchmark analysis and support of prospective customers during evaluations. Other tasks will include customer support, developing and presenting training and workshop/webinar material, consulting projects, white paper applications, and attending exhibitions nationwide.

REQUIRED Qualifications

  • Masters in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least one year experience in RF/Antenna applications
  • Good interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work within ITAR regulations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently

PREFERRED/BENEFICIAL Qualifications

  • Experienced user of ANSYS HFSS is preferred, however experience with other full wave electromagnetic simulation tools (AWR, CST, etc.) is beneficial
  • Exposure to circuit/EM simulation software such as ADS, Sonnet is beneficial
  • 3 years applying 3D electromagnetic simulation to industry applications
  • Knowledge of theory of electromagnetic fields, numerical methods in electromagnetics, and electromagnetic simulation are a distinct advantage
  • Experience with complex RF measurement equipment (Power Meters, Network and Spectrum Analyzers, etc.), SPICE, LabView, MathCAD or MatLAB is a plus

Account Manager: Ansys Simulation Software


Location: Multiple Openings - Southern California, Phoenix Arizona, Denver Colorado, Salt Lake City Utah, and Albuquerque New Mexico


PADT, Inc. is hiring seasoned, successful sales professionals with experience selling complex engineering software. Incumbents must have a passion for software simulation of advanced technology as well as a desire to work in a creative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

The Account Manager is responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close, in an assigned territory or set of accounts. In this position, Account Managers are responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth and account penetration. The role sells products and services directly to end users primarily via face-to-face contact.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or Bachelor's degree with technical sales experience 
  • At least 3 years' sales experience with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering analysis and technology
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Account Manager, Flownex Sales


Location: Tempe, AZ


Phoenix Analysis & Design Technologies (PADT) is the Southwest's leading provider of Numerical Simulation, Product Development, and Rapid Prototyping products and services. We are currently seeking a full-time Account Manager to introduce and initiate sales of a simulation software product in the Western part of North America. The role will be selling and managing account growth for Flownex, a systems level, thermal fluid-flow simulation software.

Summary/Objective

Execute sales strategy, initiates contact with potential customers, identifies needs and sell product to meet those needs.

Essential Functions

  • New business growth
    • Initiate and grow new business by prospecting, cold-calling and closing business
  • Manage accounts
    • Increase sales in respective accounts to drive growth
    • Maintain run rate
    • Establish buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria for accounts.
  • Marketing Activities
    • Attend periodic trade shows representing PADT and Flownex.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field or Technical Degree with prior sales experience
  • At least 3 years' experience selling engineering software
  • Ability to configure high-end software solutions
  • Experience selling simulation software, such as Matlab or Flowmaster preferred but not required

Application Engineer - Hardware


Location: Tempe, AZ


We are currently hiring a full-time Application Engineer in our Hardware Sales group. The AE provides technical expertise to PADT's hardware sales team, internal users, and customers to aid in the sale and support of PADT's hardware offerings. Assignments are focused on supporting sales and support efforts with skills and abilities including product expertise, problem solving, communicating with customers, demonstrating products, debugging, and documenting customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as onsite expert for hardware products offered by PADT.
  • Create and present demonstrations to prospective buyers.
  • Present solutions to prospective buyers.
  • Perform benchmark simulations for prospective buyers.
  • Work with the hardware sales team to provide expert advice on what engineering situations are best resolved with the hardware offered by PADT.
  • Train and mentor PADT employees on the company's hardware offerings.
  • Provide technical support to users of PADT hardware products.
  • Create training material for hardware as needed.
  • Conduct training classes across the US.
  • Develop technical marketing material including tutorials, blog postings, and videos for the PADT hardware product family.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication as well as presentation skills required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 2-5 years' experience in product development, product design or product manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software preferably, SolidWorks, ProEngineer or Creo.
  • Ability to work in a team environment without significant oversight.
  • Ability to interact successfully with customers and prospects, often with incomplete or conflicting requirements.
  • Basic understanding of control logic and systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training and/or teaching experience
  • Basic ability to read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T

Operations Administrator - Additive Manufacturing


Location: Tempe, AZ


he Additive Manufacturing Operations Administrator coordinates and carries out the non-technical activities of the Rapid Prototyping Services business. The Additive Manufacturing Operations Administrator coordinates the work and activities of staff, monitors and controls resources, interacts with existing and potential clients, conducts accounting tasks, manages workflow, and communicates with superiors/executive management. The position provides additional administrative assistance to other areas of the Manufacturing Technology department as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound requests for quotes from customers
  • Accept orders from customers and create job orders
  • Answer customer questions on existing jobs
  • Check packaging on completed jobs and ship to customer or arrange pickup
  • Manage shipping for Manufacturing Technology department
  • Processes billing for Manufacturing Technology department
  • Consolidates, assembles, and distributes invoices according to strict timelines
  • Reconciles receivables against invoices and coordinates check requests
  • Prepares and runs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports as needed
  • Enters, extracts, and compiles data using various sources
  • Processes purchase orders, prepares request for expenditures, researches purchase orders
  • Handling and storage of supplies, materials, and tools used by the Manufacturing Technology department

Required QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree or 2-5 years of related administrative coordination experience.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to multi-task and have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and be able to learn and use other system applications in performing the job.
