Electrical Engineer, High-Frequency Simulation: RF/Antenna

PADT is seeking a full-time Masters-level Electrical/Electronic Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to work from our Tempe office. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree and strong credentials will also be considered. Incumbents must have a passion for software simulation of advanced technology as well as a desire to work in a creative engineering environment.

Successful applicants will work on modeling of a large variety of electromagnetic systems and components. Primary tasks will be working directly with potential and existing customers including on-site presentations, benchmark analysis and support of prospective customers during evaluations. Other tasks will include customer support, developing and presenting training and workshop/webinar material, consulting projects, white paper applications, and attending exhibitions nationwide.



  1. Masters in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  2. At least one year experience in RF/Antenna applications
  3. Good interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  4. Ability to work within ITAR regulations.
  5. Proficiency with MS Office programs
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  7. Ability to work well as part of a team and independently


  1. Experienced user of ANSYS HFSS is preferred, however experience with other full wave electromagnetic simulation tools (AWR, CST, etc.) is beneficial
  2. Exposure to circuit/EM simulation software such as ADS, Sonnet is beneficial
  3. 3 years applying 3D electromagnetic simulation to industry applications
  4. Knowledge of theory of electromagnetic fields, numerical methods in electromagnetics, and electromagnetic simulation are a distinct advantage
  5. Experience with complex RF measurement equipment (Power Meters, Network and Spectrum Analyzers, etc.), SPICE, LabView, MathCAD or MatLAB is a plus
