Manufacturing Engineer


Location: Tempe, AZ


PADT is currently seeking a full-time Manufacturing Engineer for 3D scanning & Additive Manufacturing to join the Manufacturing Technologies team in Tempe, AZ  

Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning and executing 3D Scanning and Printing/Additive Manufacturing processes for customer projects. The engineer is also responsible for inspection and/or reverse engineering of customer projects using material or hardware provided. Serves as expert for an extensive range of 3D scanning services, methods and printing services offered by PADT. Provides technical support to the 3D printer sales team.

Essential Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops, evaluates, and improves 3D Scanning, Digitizing, Printing and Additive Manufacturing processes and procedures using various 3D methods and technologies.
  • Develops 3D scanning and reverse engineering processes and procedures using various contact and non-contact 3D digitizing technologies.
  • Provides necessary calibration, service and maintenance of all 3D scanners. Interfaces with internal and external customers to understand specific project requirements and determine suitable processes and workflow.
  • Constructs 3D models from scan data to accurately represent the part(s) scanned.
  • Uses a variety of 3D modeling and point cloud post processing engineering tools to manipulate the scan data.
  • Provides budgetary and lead-time estimates for each project.
  • Processes 3D scanning jobs to meet customer specifications and accuracy. Prepares post-processing reports and data as required by the customer’s statement of work.
  • Processes the printing jobs to meet customer requirements. Communicates post processing requirements with technicians to ensure parts are finished properly.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding process capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate the manufacturing processes.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future area requirements and potential.
  • Provides technical support including; demonstrations, benchmarks, technical presentations, and training for the sale of 3D printers & scanners.
  • Interfaces with scanner manufacturers, material suppliers and service providers to ensure the scanners are in good operating condition.
  • Keeps abreast of the latest 3D Scanning technologies, material development and Additive Manufacturing applications and makes recommendations to keep advancing and improving PADT’s 3D manufacturing capabilities.

Account Manager - ANSYS

PADT is currently seeking an Account Manager for the sale of ANSYS software in three locations: Salt Lake City, Utah; Austin, Texas; and Southern California.

The Account Manager is responsible for all ANSYS software sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory or set of accounts, and is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth and account penetration. Products and services are sold directly to end users primarily via face-to-face contact by performing the following duties.

  • Perform all sales activities for new and renewed business in an assigned geographic area
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in order to generate new business for the organization

Application Engineer, Low Frequency Electromagnetics

PADT is currently seeking an Application Engineer for ANSYS Simulation Software in its Torrance, CA office.

Summary:

The Application Engineer provides technical expertise for ANSYS simulation software in support of PADT's sales team through strategic pre-sales and technical scoping activities utilizing proven domain expertise, problem solving, demonstrating and presenting to customers by performing the following duties.

  • Presenting PADT's expertise and capabilities to prospects and customers and helping to grow relationships
  • Conducting in-person and web-conference discovery meetings with customers
  • Defining customer requirement specifications, and discussing software capability
  • Assisting in the development and generation of formal sales proposals to ensure technical accuracy
  • Perform benchmarking with ANSYS tools as needed and collect various performance and accuracy metrics
  • Coordinating and delivering sales collateral, presentation project plans, process flow, provision specifications, and service level definitions
  • Creating detailed implementation plans inclusive of sales strategy by addressing schemes, service level agreements, and network validation and testing procedures

Accounting Specialist


Location: Tempe, AZ


PADT is currently seeking a part-time (20-29 hours per week) Accounting Specialist to join the accounting team in Tempe, AZ. This position is temporary for the first 90 days with the expectation of becoming permanent at the end of that period.

The Accounting Specialist applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare reports and provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting and account reconciliation by performing the following duties.

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
  • Distributes expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to schedules.

  • Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
  • Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.

In response, we are currently seeking a motivated, experienced B2B relationship sales professional to sell this product. The Account Manager is responsible for all Desktop Metal 3D printer hardware sales activities, from lead generation through close in Texas and is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth and account penetration. Products and services are sold directly to end users primarily via face-to-face contact by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in order to generate new business for the organization by performing all sales activities in the state of Texas
  • Travel throughout Texas to visit and sell to regular and/or prospective customers and, attend trade shows
