McLoughlin Brings a Wide Range of High-Profile Leadership Experience Across Software and Hardware OEMs to His New Position

TEMPE, Ariz., February 15, 2024 ─ PADT, a globally recognized provider of numerical simulation, product development, and 3D printing products and services, today announced the addition of Robert McLoughlin as vice president of Sales. In his new position, McLoughlin is responsible for leading a team of skilled industry professionals and will oversee all aspects of sales and customer success to meet rising market demand for a range of best-in-class simulation and additive manufacturing solutions. He reports to Ward Rand, Co-Founder and Principal, PADT.

After a comprehensive search, McLoughlin proved to be the most experienced and capable leader to take on the vice president role. He will focus on providing experiential guidance, strategy, and tactical direction to the department. His responsibilities include refining the company’s sales team structure, recruiting, hiring, training, managing for profitable growth, and to ensure an optimal customer experience for their use of Ansys, Stratasys, Flownex, EOS, and Zeiss products.

Prior to joining PADT, McLoughlin held sales management positions in a diverse range of design, modeling, simulation, and PLM software companies, plus leading 3D Printing and CNC distribution companies. After serving eight years as a Naval Officer, his 30-year commercial career span includes sales leadership roles at SolidWorks, Siemens PLM, Saratech, and Stratasys. Most recently, he served seven years as the Western US Sales Director for Stratasys, Inc., a world-leading provider of additive manufacturing and prototyping equipment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of San Diego.
