A form of injection molding where a fine metal powder, mixed with a binding material, is injected into the mold to create a brown part. That part then goes through debinding to produce a green part. The green part is then sintered. Although not an additive manufacturing process, additive manufacturing can be used to create the tooling used.

It is also of interest to those using additive manufacturing processes to create a brown part since the follow-on steps and the design limitations are similar.

Abbreviated as MIM.
