Synonyms:
Polyphenylsulfone, PPSF, PPSU

A polymer family created by linking aromatic rings with sulfides. It has very high chemical resistance, it does not react with any solvent at temperatures below 200 C. Its strength, ultraviolet resistance, chemical resistance, and temperature resistance drive its use as a high-performance thermoplastic.

In additive manufacturing, it is available as a material for both fused deposition modeling and powder bed fusion. Members of the PPS family used in additive manufacturing include Polyphenylsulfone (PPSF or PPSU).

Abbreviated as PPS
